Do you know what your credit score is? Most people don’t. Have bad credit, I’ll tell you how to improve it. Even if your credit is at the bottom, it can be raised.
Don’t be foold. Credit agencies aren’t perfect. I’ve yet to see one credit file that was perfect.
Here’s some things you should know:
1. If you want to turn your bad credit around, this is the site you need to visit. I’m serious. Check it out now. This guy had 60 bad credit items!
2. You need your up-to-date credit report. Here’s a free way to get yours. If you’ve never seen a credit report, you are going to be surprised. Some accounts could be on one report but not on another. The result is a different credit score per report agency.
3. You need to check you info. Make sure all your good accounts are listed on each credit report. Contact the company and the reporting agency to get it listed.
4. Be smart. Does paying off collections help you? Actually, no. Many people mistakenly rush to pay off things that show up—you might not even owe the debt. Be careful here.
5. Next, you’ll be disputing the validity of bad items. You’ll have to contact the CRA. That guy gives sample letters and instructions.
6. Utilization kills you. If your credit available from all credit cards is say $1,000 and your total balances equal say $800, you’re using 80% of your credit . This is a bad spot to be in. Keep your credit use to 0-30% of your maximum total credit. It’s possibly that you’re losing 100 points from this one issue alone. It’s that important.
7. Try not to go on a credit applying spree. When your credit gets pulled, it can hurt your score. The exception is credit reports. Those are ok. Try to keep your applications to a minimum.
It’s not in the credit agency’s best interest to have your file perfect. Do yourself a favor and visit that guy’s site above.
