Case is stayed when Chapter 7 bankruptcy filed

There is a
partnership dispute currently pending in state court in which the plaintiff
is seeking an accounting. The parties agreed to a global settlement of all
issues. However, prior to the settlement, the plaintiff threatened to amend
the complaint, add additional parties and add substantive claims in the
event that the case did not settle. The parties did settle, at a conference
with the judge. The basic terms of the agreement were reduced to a court
order. Of course, there is now an argument over the exact terms. A motion
was filed to enforce the agreement. Now, the plaintiff has filed for
Chapter 7 bankruptcy and the case is now stayed.
